That’s me, back row left, in the dark suit and hat, in Dennis Quaid’s film, The Express.

The Express, starring Dennis Quaid

I was one of hundreds of Extras that appeared in the 2008 film, The Express – starring Dennis Quaid. At its release, I found myself in a brief sequence during I think the first 3 minutes of the film – with the football stadium behind me – standing in the bleachers – looking up toward the camera. This after they relentlessly dragged me into dozens of scenes when most were idle; in addition to the larger scenes. I think it was my age. I also played the CBS News camera guy at the sidelines. Today I found myself at 1:09 in the original trailer – back row on far left in the dark suit playing a journalist. Blink and you miss me. But on the computer I have the advantage of freeze frame. Ah, stardom. Dennis never calls anymore.

  • Blog post; “Lion.” Highly recommending the film, “Lion,” a 2016 release available at Netflix. A 5-year-old Indian boy is separated from his mother and family. Incredible casting and shooting capturing the story from the boy’s point of view and follows him into adulthood – and his quest to reunite with his mother after being adopted into an Australian family. Well paced, sad and funny – filled with villains and angels. A real treat.
